Candy Hearts

I have been seriously slacking on doing crafts and activities with Emily. So I was thinking about things I could do with her for Valentines day and I suddenly remembered sorting and counting candy hearts. I don't know if I remember it from when I was in school or when I taught school and it just so happened that Grandma Johnson bought the girls a box of candy hearts the other day.

First she colored the hearts
(I just googled candy heart sorting and found a worksheet)

Then she sorted them.

Then since she can't write all of her numbers yet, I wrote down three choices and she circled the one that went with it.

A couple weeks ago, we took the girls outside to play after dinner on a Sunday and I got out my new-to-me camera. The lighting is off but I thought this was a cute picture.

Mike went to grab Allyson before she went into the street. That girl really likes to push the limits.

I feel so behind on all this school stuff. Seems like a lot of mom's are doing worksheets and preschool type of stuff at home. I think I need to get on it. Thanks for the idea!
